The Quebec Network of Junior Pain Investigators (QNJPI) is proud to announce the 3rd edition of the PAINtalks, which will take place during the evening at the "Salle des promotions" of Quebec Seminar on October 5, 2018.

This bilingual and free initiative is inspired by TED-talks presentations and aims to offer easily understandable talks about pain to the audience. The speakers (6 students and 2 invited speakers) will be required to discuss controversies and new advances in the field of pain.

Special care will be taken to ensure that the presentations are accessible and easily understandible since this will be the first edition open to the public.

We are pleased to announce that the QNJPI is now associated with Denis François Gravel. President and co-founder of TEDxQuebec, Denis François is also an experienced coach in public speaking. All of our speakers will receive an individual session with Denis François to ensure the excellence of each talk.

In order to facilitate the transfer of information between the academic environment and the public, all presentations will be filmed in high-definition and made available on our website, our YouTube channel and on our Facebook page. All videos will be filmed and made by Vimetri, a professional team which also covers TEDxQuebec.

The winner of the best student presentation will receive a secured spot (including the registration fees worth $500 US) at the 2019 edition of the North American Pain School (NAPS) as well as a cash prize. The second place winner will also receive a cash prize.

Finally, we will conclude the evening with a cocktail where everybody will be able to meet and discuss with our speakers.

You can reserve your place or submit your application by visiting the registration and submission tabs.

Looking foward to see you there !
