Welcome to the online registration platform of the CSV2018: the 2nd symposium of the Canadian Society for Virology (CSV) to be held on June13th-15th 2018 on campus at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.


This 3-day symposium will provide a forum for the Canadian virology community to discuss recent advances in the field and to foster exchanges and multidisciplinary collaborations.


Confirmed keynote speakers: Sylvain Moineau, Université Laval and David Kelvin, Dalhousie University.

The symposium is designed to provide many opportunities for trainee presentations.


Travel awards are available for students and post doctoral fellows who are members of the CSV. Apply through the submission tab. Note that the travel award deadline is March 12th at 4PM Eastern time. Notice of travel award will be send to recipients on March 27th (before the registration deadline).


CSV members benefit from reduced registration fees and eligibility to travel awards (students and post-doctoral fellows).

Soapbox Science:

CSV is proud to associate with the Soapbox Science event that will take place Saturday June 16th 2018 at the Seaport Farmer’s Market in Halifax. This event brings cutting-edge science to the public, in an accessible, fun, and welcoming way. At the core of Soapbox Science is the promotion and support for women in STEM.
