The CWSS-SCM Local Arrangements Committee is soliciting titles for oral presentations to be presented at the 2020 annual meeting. Presenters will be allotted fifteen (15) minutes each. Topics may include any aspect of weed science including biology, ecology and management. To be considered for the student paper presentation session, a paper title must be submitted no later than October 9, 2020. The Graduate Student Presentations title registration form will be available online.

An abstract or written summary of your presentation (maximum of 1 page) will be required by October 30, 2020.

Please follow the link on instructions for 'Preparing the Abstracts for the Canadian Weed Science Society Conference'

Graduate Presentations:

  • The graduate student session is currently scheduled for Tuesday November 24th from 1:15-4:00pm EST

  • Students will be asked to pre-record their presentations.

  • The instructions on how to do this are already on the CWSS website (https://weedscience.ca/powerpoint-instructions/ )

  • The time slot on the 24th of November will be used for questions from the audience (assuming everyone has already viewed the presentations)

  • The format on the 24th will roughly look like this:

    • Student will provide a brief summary of the main points of their presentation (1 min)

    • There will be 6-8min for moderated questions

    • So roughly a total of 10 min per student with a bit of time built in for transitions between students

We encourage you to take this opportunity to update the weed science community on your research.
