Since 1996, undergraduate students from accross Canada participate in a research exchange program designed to better understand elusive, short-lived reaction intermediates. This year twelve top students will participate in the Reactive Intermediate Student Exchange (RISE) in labs from British Columbia to Nova Scotia. At the end of their summer research, the RISE scholars will present their work at the annual RISE Symposium. Eva Hemmer, Tito Scaiano and their groups at the University of Ottawa (uOttawa) will be hosting the 2019 edition of this annual symposium.
The conference will be held on August 25th (evening), August 26th (all day) and August 27th (morning) at uOttawa's Advanced Research Complex of the University of Ottawa (ARC) in downtown Ottawa.

Student accomodations for the RISE scholars coming outside of Ottawa will be arranged by the organizers for Sunday and Monday night, August 25th and 26th.
